About

I am Pavlos Kolias, PhD, a mathematician, statistician, researcher, and statistical consultant based in Thessaloniki, Greece. I work as a Lecturer in Mathematics, Statistics, and Research Methods at CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, where I teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in statistics, data analysis, research methods, data science, machine learning, and mathematical foundations.

I am also the founder of The Math.Lab Project, providing statistical consulting, data analysis, and research support to researchers, professionals, and organisations. My work includes study design, sample size and power analysis, statistical modelling, simulation studies, Bayesian and frequentist inference, machine learning, and the clear presentation of research findings.

My academic background includes a PhD in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Statistics and Modelling, and a BSc in Mathematics. My research interests include stochastic processes, Markov and semi-Markov models, Bayesian statistics, applied statistics, psychometrics, health research, sports analytics, and statistical modelling for complex systems.
